Building Faith on the Portland PeninsulaThe Center for Faith was established by the Portland Peninsula and Island Parishes in the fall of 2022 to facilitate the collaboration of parishioners together with parish clergy and staff in faith formation programming and activities. Major efforts of the Center for Faith include:
- Weekly K-12 Faith Formation on Sundays from 11am-12:30pm and Wednesdays from 3:30pm-5pm.
- Family Faith Enrichment Nights. Monthly Friday dinners for people of all ages. 6:00PM Dinner is followed by a presentation for adults and activities for children.
- Sequitur: A course for adults in the foundation of Catholicism, designed to equip people to pass on the faith.
- Summer programs for children and youth launched in the summer of 2024

Rev. Seamus Griesbach
Rector and Pastor
Fr. Seamus is the Rector of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception and Pastor of the Portland Peninsula and Island Parishes. He was ordained in 2007 and holds a Licentiate in Dogmatic Theology from the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome.

Rev. Augustine Foka
Parochial Vicar
Fr. Augustine was ordained in 2001 in the Diocese of Kumbo in Cameroon and has a variety of pastoral experience in Cameroon in parishes and as a hospital chaplain.

Abrey Feliccia
Director of the Portland Catholic Center for Faith
Abrey is the Director of the Portland Catholic Center for Faith, promoting education in the Catholic faith for people of all ages. She holds a degree in Psychology from Ithaca College and graduate coursework in Catholic theology at St. Bernard's School of Theology.

Our Location
The Portland Catholic Center for Faith is located at the Guild Hall on the properties of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception at 307 Congress Street in Portland, ME.
The Guild Hall is the former Auditorium and Gym for the Cathedral School. Facilities include a large auditorium, gymnasium, meeting rooms, outdoor green space and easily accessible parking.
The Guild Hall is also home to the Pastoral Offices of the Portland Peninsula and Island Parishes, who oversee the Center for Faith. To contact our clergy and staff, please call 207.773.7746 or email [email protected]
