The Portland Catholic Center for Faith is nearing the beginning of many new programs this September. The K-12 program will begin on Sunday, September 17th and Wednesday, September 20th. We have just crossed over the 100-student mark! Having over 100 students registered in the program is truly encouraging. In these next two weeks, the Sunday and Wednesday catechist teams will be preparing to welcome students and organize the year ahead. We have about 40 volunteers for the program, and I hope we get up to 50 in the weeks ahead. I am thankful for the volunteers that have stepped forward. They have a variety of gifts, professional experiences, and a desire to generously serve in this ministry of education. Please reach out if you have any questions about registering your children or volunteering.
Sequitur, the course in the foundations of Catholicism for adults, will begin September 20th. There will be an option to participate in person or in a satellite group that watches the recording and meets on a weekday morning. There will be a variety of presenters with expertise and rich experience. I hope you consider registering.
Thank you to all who have been engaging in these programs by participating, volunteering, spreading the word, and, importantly, keeping them in your prayers. I am consistently reminded that we need to completely lean on prayer for these efforts to be successful. Please keep these 100+ students, the volunteers, the adult students, and all involved in your prayers.
