The Cathedral Outreach initiative began last fall after a Cathedral team meeting. The goal of the initiative is to go outside of the walls of the church and reach out, presenting people with a simple question: do you have a prayer request?
Outreach members will take written petitions to the Marian altar in the Cathedral Chapel, where they will be collectively prayed for(all confidential).  This small spiritual outreach will begin with a “soft launch” after Masses at the Cathedral on the weekend of April 27th and 28th. This past February, members went through an extensive training to prepare for outreach.  Members will interact with parishioners after Masses to gain some experience in reaching out to people before branching out to the wider community. In May the outreach team plans to go out for a spring cleanup around the neighborhood. Outreach members will be equipped with prayer cards, rosaries, and miraculous medals. If you can donate rosaries and miraculous medals, please drop them off at the parish office or contact the parish office (please note, donations of other religious items to the outreach initiative will not be accepted).
