A few brief notes from the Finance front this week:
After a well-deserved summer break, our Parish Finance Councils have returned to their meeting schedule for the new fiscal year (7/1/23-630/24) beginning this past Monday with Sacred Heart/St. Dominic and St. Louis. Each of the individual Parish Finance Councils will meet 4 times during the year, while the Cluster Finance Council will meet twice. I am profoundly grateful for the time, talents, and support all Parish Finance Council members provide, particularly insofar as our shared role in fiscal stewardship of our parishes.
I had the opportunity to visit the Sacred Heart/St. Dominic Food Pantry and see it and its amazing group of volunteers in action earlier this week. What a blessing this ministry is to our community, especially for those in need who depend on its generosity and kindness. I was moved to prayer and gratitude.
I have provided what I hope is a helpful visual on Offertory trends for July and August 2023, comparing each to its prior-year and budget amounts, respectively.
Look for an update and general information here in the very near future about Planned Giving, which provides an array of additional (and meaningful) ways in which you can support and partner with your parish.
As always, please feel free to reach out to me with any questions or concerns.
Many thanks. Have a blessed week.
